Early labour doula support (via call or video)

Lena MBlog

Newborn nose to nose with parent

Dear families, I’m adding this extra page temporarily to open up my support during these challenging times.

Many parents hoping for various types of birth are being told to stay at home as long as possible before going into hospital, whilst I normally appreciate this advice for those planning a hospital birth, this is when it is mamas instinctive choice, not because of the current reasons.

If you’re home, worried, scared, I can be here, on the other end of the phone/video (it may be a greasy haired pyjama support, on my part).

Whether you need some calming words, some tips to help you at the stage you are at, a set of listening ears, whether this is for mama or dad, I’m here for you.

I work internationally via video chat normally, so I’m used to remote work, and offering support. Physical distance doesn’t matter. I’m there for you.

This is offered on a ‘pay as you feel’ basis (later, not at the time of immediate need!)

Sending you lots of love and support.

Jay’s background: recently retired doula of 15yrs, mama to 4 teenage babies, including identical twins, surrogate mum of 2 younger babies carried for another mother.

Antenatal educator, Clinical Hypnotherapist, NLP & EFT practitioner, Mindfulness & Meditation facilitator.

PLEASE NOTE:

This is not a replacement for arranging doula support in advance. There are many amazing doula’s fully ready to build the relationship before your birth day. If you can plan in advance, it is such a worthwhile thing to do.

We will need to do a video call, and I will ask for you to show me some ID and send me some details. The reason being is that there is a history of hoax callers who have strung some very kind and giving doulas along. To form any kind of relationship there has to be full openness and a trusting connection.
